
Bing and Point Reach have launched many industry firsts – including takeovers of top ad networks. For an entire 24 hour period every impression served was 100% focused on the Bing app. Mobile rich media units such as expandables and searchable ads, as well as online flash banners with SMS widgets were also implemented. The result? The Bing app was downloaded over 5 million times, reached number 3 overall in the App Store, and stayed in the top twenty for 8 weeks.
2010 was all about the iPhone but the rapid growth of Android powered devices and the transformative iPad could not be ignored. Bing adjusted their marketing goals and priorities and we moved in lock step with them, keeping them as mobile pioneers.
Mobile has played a key role to support a number of Bing product launches this year – Bing for iPad, Bing Deals and the Facebook integration within their search results. To build awareness and perception, together we developed transformative creative and innovative media plans. Our mobile campaigns have proven to resonate with the Bing’s target audience showing double digit lifts across core metrics to those exposed.
